Leafleting and canvassing schedule has had its up and downs, but with re-enforcements drafted in today from Swansea Green Party, courtesy of Keith Ross, we are back on schedule to complete planned activity tomorrow.
We have had issues with the Risograph printing facilities at Wales Green Party HQ, with graphics compromised a bit and an inability to print the reverse side of the last leaflet, but, overall, feedback has been positive. The young lady standing as an Independent has broken cover and seems to be taking the line that we cannot trust the established parties to deliver on their promises. The Labour campaigning has been based on trying to take credit for things they have little influence on (re-building the school wrecked by fire, the Life Centre) and making a big thing of their candidate having lived there once upon a time. The Tories appear to have wasted no printed material or shoe rubber at all – which is one of their most sensible and greenest decisions they have made for a long, long time. In all, it looks set for an interesting two way battle between us and Labour – with the Independent a potentially minor, but significant factor – if it proves as close as we hope (and the Tory completely inconsequential). I hope to be able to post the result before midnight on Thursday – so watch this space! Andy Chyba |

I would not like to comment on Addy’s allegations here, but it is becoming increasingly clear that Labour can get away with most things and simply call on their financial and manpower reserves to get results whenever they are threatened.
It means the rest of us are fighting an uphill battle to achieve any electoral inroads.
Upwards on onwards, in the knowledge that there is no option but to listen to us sooner or later.

hi andy, thankyou for your reply and i understand that you cannot comment on the allegations that i have made, but i thought i would let you know that i have kept all the minutes and paper work from my time as chairperson.the said labour cllrs are still making false allegations against me they have even put copy of the minutes on public display so people of the village can see and i am no longer a cllr.i am a resident of coytrahen and all i would say to the labour party they will never take my dignity away.

This all sounds very vindictive and unnecessary. I am not sure what I can do to help other than offer you a welcome to our next Bridgend Meeting. If you want to share anything in a non public forum, than you are welcome to email me – greens@chyba.go-plus.net
UPDATE – I HAVE BEEN CONTACTED MY ONE LADY ACCUSED BY ADDY ABOVE, TO SAY THAT ADDY’S ACCUSATIONS ARE GROUNDLESS AND THAT LEGAL ACTION COULD BE TAKEN IF I DID NOT REMOVE THE NAMES. hAPPY TO OBLIGE. WE DO NOT NEED TO GET EMBROILED IN LABOUR’S IN FIGHTING.
THIS THREAD IS NOW CLOSED.
